Overview:

A Sincere Gift of Self is an eight-session workshop for marriage preparation. The workshop sessions are chock-full of down-to-earth practicality as well as "go-for-it" idealism.  Through talks, stories, exercises, and demonstrations, engaged couples discover what may bring to marriage and what me marriage covenant requires from them.

An outstanding feature of me workshop is me personal talks given by married couples.  They share personal reflections gleaned from their own experience of married life and offer their insights into me changes, adjustments, and responsibilities mat are part of every marriage.

Through sessions that present the Church's vision of marriage and sexuality, the workshop reveals the tremendous importance of attentiveness to each other, the real meaning of communication, me role of forgiveness, reliance on God's grace, and how to build on the solid foundation of shared values.

Christian Married Life addresses the major need of providing a sound and sufficient understanding of the meaning of human sexuality.  It not only contains the human sexuality workshop that so many diocese are now searching for but the entire program sequence is coordinated to dispose the couples in the most effective way possible to understand the dignity of the human person, the meaning of sexuality and the importance of the child and openness to life and those things that protect all of this from harm.

Engaged couples will also gain insight into dealing with challenges to their married relationship: everything from relationships with me opposite sex that develop in the workplace to healing a troubled marriage instead of heading for the escape hatch.

A Sincere Gift of Self offers couples a vision of hope-mat with trust in God and their ongoing gift of self to each oilier, their marriage will not only survive, but thrive.

The Workshop is facilitated by the couple’s manual, Christian Married Life: A Sincere Gift of Self-A Marriage Course and the Christian Married Life Team Manual.
