There are various questions that need to be addressed in the medical profession.  The Family Life Institute is developing seminars for medical professionals to consider some of these questions. 

 We are presently developing a seminar format to discuss two critical issues that affect family life today.

1. The relationship between the body and the soul.  “Is the human being a purely organic operation?  Or do the faculties of the soul exist so as to effect one’s emotional health and well being?”

2. 80%-90% of reported cases of anxiety & depression are being treated by general practitioners or specialists in side areas of expertise such as an OBGYN.  Several questions arise:

• “Given the additional amount of training required to acquire credentials and qualifications for the specialty of psychiatry is the limited training for those outside of the field of psychiatry sufficient?”

• “Has the intolerance for pain caused premature treatment with pharmaceuticals and over-reliance upon them?”
